Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back while the other babies were crawling in the playpen. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, however it was not quite done. To complete this task, I was prepared to shell out a substantial amount of time and money looking for my dream house. My three sons and me looked for treasures hidden going to estate sales in order to help keep my spending under control. Our routine was to visit garage sales and auctions on the weekend as well as purchase various of old pieces and new created. I'd spend my workdays on the drive painting or sanding. Looked a little something like the picture below... This was where my passion for restoration of furniture started. No matter what, our house had already been equipped. There was an area at the local markets that I could sell my items. There were numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and outgrew the space. There were open houses at my house which saw over 1 000 guests came through on the span of a weekend. They could purchase whatever they saw in the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Not only was my business flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wanted to be a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. It was in 2013 when my lovely daughter Nora joined our 4th child. The direction of my business was great, but I was forced to take some time off. I decided to quit working on my antique furniture and spend time with my children. That was precisely the thing I needed. The phone rang again after a while. I started receiving calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement as well as interior design. They were mostly people who came to my open home to purchase furniture. Then I slowly took on clients in my own way. In the end, I had many clients, and had as a home improvement business. If you'd have said to me that this company that I started would become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. If I think at it, it has made me giggle.
