Gina Joy Carano, a former mixed-martial artist, fitness model, is also an actor. She was crowned The Woman's Face of MMA in the beginning of her career in Muay Thai. Her Muay Thai records are impressive 12 wins, with only one defeat. This marks the first occasion an American woman has been awarded the Muay Thai championship in Thailand. While growing up she was studying ballet jazz tap and gymnastics. She was also a pro at softball, basketball, and other sports. Jiu-Jitsu as well as wrestling and other martial arts are also an aspect of her training. She has seven victories and just one loss during her MMA. It was her combination of strength techniques and her personality in along with her attractive appearance and laid-back attitude that helped her become a well-known MMA fighter.
